TO health, through heritage.
Bean to Bar Chocolate maker Saba

What began in 2016 as a personal inquiry into cacao became a decade of fieldwork across West Africa and Latin America — Nigeria, Ghana, Costa Rica, Mexico, and beyond — tracing the sensory science, agricultural economics, and cultural history of one of the world's most complex and consequential crops.
Before it became a formal practice, it started simply: gathering people around chocolate as a medium for attention, conversation, and genuine connection. That early work revealed something worth building — that tasting, when designed well, creates presence, trust, and a quality of exchange that most experiences don't reach.
Informed by a foundation in biopsychology and fifteen years across technology and education, every SABA experience is built with the same rigor brought to the field: how flavor is perceived, how context shapes sensory memory, and how a single origin bar carries the full story of the land it came from.
SABA Chocolat is the synthesis — a direct-source cacao tasting and experience practice working at the intersection of origin intelligence, sensory science, and craft. Clients include Google, Palantir, Meta, and the Government of Nigeria.
For brands, cultural institutions, and enterprise teams who want something that lingers.

Single origin Cacao. Where biology meets heritage

The Beans
I source cacao exclusively from Africa — working directly with producers who cultivate the land with care and precision. Each partnership begins with relationship: knowing the farmers by name, understanding their harvest cycles, and respecting the ecosystems that sustain the trees.
This cacao is not anonymous commodity. It carries soil memory, climate, labor, and lineage.
